Glutathione is a crucial antioxidant for overall health, but chances are you may not have enough.

Our bodies actually produce their own glutathione. These days though, due to our poor diet, high stress levels and other factors such as environmental toxins, which all deplete glutathione in the body, many of us have become deficient in this crucial chemical.

So why is glutathione so important for our health?

Well, it is the most important molecule in our body for detoxification.

Due to it’s high sulphur content, glutathione is able to remove toxins easily from the body as they tend to stick to it, allowing them to be easily taken out of your system.

Glutathione helps clear a number of heavy metals form the body, like mercury, aluminium and cadmium. It also aids in the removal of toxins due to plastics, cosmetics and mould.

If you have too little glutathione in your body, you will likely experience elevated levels of oxidative stress, leading to an increase of free radicals in the body. This can increase your risk of cancer, autoimmune disease and generally raise inflammation levels.
